Using What is in our hand..

Here is a quote I ran across in a book my sister-in-law gave me for Christmas.
"Maybe as times get worse we get better. Our Pain makes us feel other people's too; our fear lets us practice valor; we are tense, and tender as well. And among the things we can no longer afford are things we never really wanted anyway...Nancy Gibbs

Paul says in Romans 12:15

Rejoice with those who rejoice, and weep with those who weep.

AND In 2 Corinthians 1:3-4

Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort, 4 who comforts us in all our affliction so that we will be able to comfort those who are in any affliction with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God.

So many truths you hear in books, movies, poems..all lead back to scripture. Many do not realize this. Our world enjoys morality, kindness, charity, and justice..all the while not realizing all of these begin with God, and HIS perfect Word to us-the Bible! It would be interesting for God to remove the knowledge of His Word in this world for a few minutes and see the Chaos that would ensue, showing ALL that only God is good, and it is only He that Holds things together.

The other side of the coin is the suffering and chaos we see in the world. I have always found it interesting that there are people that do not follow God, attend church, or believe in an all-knowing, all powerful God but still blame Him for all the suffering in the world. It seems to be a common theme you hear now, Christians (CHRIST FOLLOWERS) are blamed for the pain in the world..hmmm. This is interesting to me. WE cannot get credit for good in the world, but we easily are blamed for the bad. How can this be? There is suffering, there is Chaos, but whose fault is that? If it is not God's fault, it has to be caused by something or someone. God's word says there is a thief, liar, destroyer, and his name is satan./ If this is true, it makes sense, we are in a battle. This battle is fierce, a battle of good and evil.

I challenge you to look around you and see the beauty, the goodness in the world, and then see the stark opposite of evil-war, crime, temptations, and wonder about it? There does seem to be two forces, waring against one another, and there appears to be followers of those different forces. Think about it
