Yesterday

Yesterday someone mentioned this song, Praise You in This Storm, as we were discussing pain. I remember when I was going through a difficult time a while ago and how this song ministered to me. I went to a Casting Crowns concert and ALL of their songs really hit home! The writer of these songs, Mark Hall has a powerful testimony, and as he spoke about his trials and the trials of those he loved, you could hear a pin drop. He wrote this song after a friend of his, a eight year old little girl died. The young girl taught him much about life and inspired the words to this song. People in the audience were hanging on every word, wanting to know-what is the hope? What is the answer to our heartache? I love what he said, Jesus. This is simple, bet yet profound. Mark has written a book, "Your own Jesus: A God insistent on making it personal." Check out the Casting Crowns website: www.castingcrowns.com to hear Mark's testimony about his new book, and hear some more great music! Especially listen to what he says about the book of James!
